Derrick rose electrified the Madison Square Garden crowd last night with an array of dunks and a game-high 26 points as the Bulls won their eighth straight game, 103-90 over the New York Knicks, whose own seven-game win streak was snapped. Coupled with the Lakers win over San Antonio last night, the Bulls have a chance to claim the top seed throughout the NBA Playoffs tonight with a win over the New Jersey Nets.
The Bulls opened this game up with a 32-18 third quarter highlighted by a rose steal and reverse jam that had the MSG crowd rocking in ways the Bulls haven't done since You Know Who laced up his sneakers. Luol Deng added 23 points and 10 rebounds while Carlos Boozer scored 14 points and grabbed 22 rebounds. Bulls fans held their collective breath last night as Ronnie Brewer injured his hand and Joakim Noah re-aggravated his injured right ankle.
