2011_4_13_PTI.jpg Food
Bluebird is holding what they call a “Deep Tasting,” a beer event in collaboration with Left Hand Brewing Company, next Tuesday at 7:30. The company will be serving its entire line of beers, and they will also be pulling some vintage brews out of the back of the refrigerator - pretty much exclusive to this event, unless you know someone who knows someone. As always, Bluebird will serve some food to accompany the booze. Their events are always a great deal, and this is no exception - $25 for the whole deal. Email info@bluebirdchicago.com to reserve a spot. (1749 N. Damen)

Film
The Northwest Chicago Film Society's Wednesday screenings continue with Josef von Sternberg's Children of Divorce presented in a newly struck and restored 35mm print from the Library of Congress. Starring Clara Bow and a young Gary Cooper, the film will be preceded by the 1925 Harry Langdon short His Marriage Wow. Jay Warren will man the Portage Theater's pipe organ all night. (4050 N. Soup and Bread
Hideout's Soup and Bread Series is entering its final week of the season and tonight's lineup features soups from Paul Kahan and Rob Levitt. Martha Bayne has the full lineup here and it's a large blowoff to the season. (1354 W. Wabansia)
