Pretty In Pink

Spring is street sweeping season, folks. All over the city, street sweepers are out brushing away the remaining detritus of winter and making sure the storm drains are clear to accommodate April''s showers. Over the years we've seen street sweepers painted in the colors of Our Town's sports teams, we've seen Cubs-themed street sweepers in Bridgeport and Sox-themed sweepers outside Wrigley Field. We've seen sweepers proudly announcing Richard Daley as Mayor and more personal notes to His Elective Majesty etched in their grime. Until today, however, we've never seen a street sweeper painted in all pink. All the driver could do as he passed this morning was shrug his shoulders like Michael Jordan in Game 1 of the '92 NBA finals against Portland.
