It Was 25 Years Ago Today.

While the city starts to embrace the Bulls and their return to prominence in a way we haven't seen since the end of the Jordan Era, a quarter century ago today Michael Jordan set a playoff scoring record 63 points against the Boston Celtics that still stands. Jordan only played 18 games during the 1985-86 season and team officials advised he sit out the season to give him some extra recuperation time. Jordan refused and led the Bulls to the final playoff spot, drawing the eventual champion Celtics in the first round. Although Boston swept the Bulls in the series, Jordan was an unstoppable one-man wrecking crew

Some of you reading this weren't even born, which makes us feel even older than the video of this feat. After the game, Celtics legend Larry Bird said of Jordan's performance, "I think it's just God disguised as Michael Jordan."
