The Budos Band have been one of the anchors of Daptone Records throwback soul sound for years. Live, they walk a fine line between retro soul and Afrobeat without blatantly mimicking either style. For their gig tonight at Subterranean (2011 W. North Ave.) they're bringing along for the ride 63-years-young raw soul singer Charles Bradley, whose touring behind a new Daptone/Dunhill release of his own that's rocking our turntable. 9 p.m. Doors open at 8 p.m.
