Morning Box Score: Humber Humbles Yanks, Cubs Can't Field Rockies

The conditions for baseball were not ideal at Wrigley Field last night. The Cubs played as though the ball was coated in grease in committing four errors -- three by Starlin Castro -- in a 5-3 loss to the Colorado Rockies. Matt Garza is still looking for his first win of the season and committed the throwing error that broke a 3-3 tie in the fifth inning. The Cubs lineup didn't give Garza much support, hitting 0-for-10 with runners in scoring position. Kosuke Fukudome rapped out five hits on the night and Darwin Barney hit his first home run of the season.
The White Sox took their trail of tears road trip to the Bronx Zoo to face the Yankees, and Phil Humber delivered seven innings of no-hit ball in leading the Sox to a 2-0 victory. Humber has been one of the bright spots for the Sox this season, with a 2-2 record filling in for the rehabbing Jake Peavy. Another bright spot is Sergio Santos, who pitched 1-1/3 innings to pick up the save.
