Feel Festive with Free Taco Friday

The end of April mean’s Chicago’s traditionally festive Cinco de Mayo celebration is just around the corner. What better way to start feeling festive than with easily accessible Mexican street fare garnished with fresh fruit and chili salsas.

On Friday, April 29, all Chicagoland Qdoba locations will be providing free orders of their newest item, the mini street taco, with a purchase of a beverage. Qdoba hopes to make a stake into the gourmet street fare market in Chicago, a concept named the hottest restaurant concept at this year’s National Restaurant Association show in Chicago.

Qdoba’s take on street tacos is made with three small soft corn tortillas highlighted with either slow-roasted pulled pork or seasoned shredded beef. Garnish your taco with any of their made daily fruit and/or chili based salsa, or with their freshly made mango salsa made with jicama and agave nectar, which makes a return to its menu this summer. An order of the mini street tacos (3 tacos per order) is both filling and healthy, with each order averaging around 350 calories with 21 grams of protein.

With their widening varieties of menu items, Qdoba director of strategic product development Ted Stoner hopes that guests will break out of their normal orders to try new combinations of menu items and flavors. Stoner says, “Qdoba is dedicated to offering our guests the opportunity to explore more flavors and tastes each time they enter a Qdoba restaurant, and our new Mini Street Tacos are just one example of this.”

Try one for yourself at any of Chicagoland’s Qdoba locations.
