"Bastardgeist is the brainchild of Chicago-based musician Joel Midden. Through layers of kalimba, processed vocals, and a handful of circuitous samples and found percussion he has crafted a bedroom opus of singular vision and ambitious design." You know who else crafts bedroom opuses of singular vision and ambitious design. Adam Busch and Pierce Doerr, better known as two-thirds of Sonoi. Bastardgeist with Busch & Doerr perform tonight at the Whistler, starting at 10 p.m. (2421 N. Milwaukee)
