8 Wounded, 2 Dead In Overnight Shootings

By Samantha Abernethy in News on Apr 30, 2011 5:45PM

Nine apparently unrelated shootings overnight left eight wounded and two dead across the city. A 22-year-old man was killed in Bronzeville, and
a drive-by shooting on the West Side killed a 26-year-old man and wounded another. Other shootings happened in Old Irving Park, Roseland, Gage Park, Humboldt Park, West Englewood, the Near West Side, and two were shot in Lawndale.

As the weather heats up, violence typically heats up, too. Obviously recent weather had people a bit bottled up, so they made up for lost time.
