"Cut & scratch" or "turntable wizard" may accurately describe Montreal's A-Trak, but more than anything the guy just wants you to shake it. If his recent live performances are any indication, the crowd at The Mid tomorrow night will be treated to the renowned DJ and Fool's Gold label head's finest dance and hip hop mixes. That aesthetic should pair nicely with the openers, dance-rap local gal Kid Sister and bass thumping dubstep producer Gaslamp Killer, and word has it that the stage setup is almost worth the price of admission on its own. From the toe tappers to the floor bosses, this is a show not to be missed.

A-Trak plays tomorrow, May 5, at The Mid, 306 N Halsted, 9 p.m., 21+, $20
