From the Vault of Art Shay: Nelson Algren Bonus

(Ed. Note: 30 years ago today Nelson Algren passed away in his home in Long Island, NY. Algren moved from Chicago to Paterson, NJ in 1975 after visiting and becoming fascinated by the town while researching a magazine article about Rubin "Hurricane" Carter, the former prize fighter who was convicted, and later exonerated, of double murder. Algren moved to a home in Long Island in 1980 and passed away there a year later. Art shared this photograph of Algren walking on a dirt mound over the weekend. this would also be a good time to re-read Art's birthday tribute to Algren from March. — CS)
