Morning Box Score: Sox Pound Angels

By Chuck Sudo in News on May 10, 2011 2:00PM

White Sox 8, Angels 0

Someone on the White Sox must be praying to Jobu, because the team has now managed to form a modest three-game winning streak, their first of the season. Gordon Beckham, Alexei Ramirez and Carlos Quentin all homered to pace an 11-hit attack while Edwin Jackson, Chris Sale and Will Ohman combined to shut out the Angels. Whether this is a the beginnings of the Sox pulling up their bootstraps after a disastrous start or a blip on the radar is yet to be determined. Regardless, this is easily the best stretch of baseball the White Sox have played since their opening series in Cleveland. John Danks tries for his first win of the season tonight and Jake Peavy is set to make his first start of thee season tomorrow.
