Your Morning Wake-Up Call for May 18, 2011

By Chuck Sudo in News on May 18, 2011 1:00PM

Happy Humpday, everybody. Abraham Lincoln accepted the Republican Presidential nomination in Chicago on this date 151 years ago. Charles Bowler Atwood, the architect who would become designer-in-chief of the World's Columbian Exposition, was also born on this date in 1849. Wonder if it was raining on these two dates in Chicago history? That's what we're going to expect today - more showers, more wind and a projected high of 57. Even though there's very little evidence that El Sol is in the sky, we've made it to the midday point of the week.
