Looks like plans are being dusted off downstate for a Chicago casino, that great fallback plan for politicians who can't find creative way to balancing budgets, generating tax revenue for the coffers and job creation. Skokie Rep. Lou Lang dusted off the proposal and wants to file the bill as soon as tomorrow.

Chicago was thisclose to getting a casino last year, but the proposal that passed in the State Senate failed in the House. Former Mayor Daley often vacillated on his support on a casino in the city. The last time Daley supported a casino, he did so, but with a list of qualifiers.
