Sucked Into Service from Chemically Imbalanced Comedy is a look at two very different sides of the service industry from CIC artistic associates Paul Whitehouse and Casey Pilkenton. Whithouse's "1/2 Caf Chronicles" is a collection of semi-autobiographical stories about a young man's short lived career as a barista. The stories bring to life the absurd situations and eccentric personalities that he experienced as a professional maker of coffee. "Trapped in a Box" is a story of Audrey losing her patience, her drive, and her sanity working in a Box Office. Phone call after phone call, the people she speaks with can't find their credit cards, fail to believe the term "SOLD OUT" applies to them, and they all seem to mistake Audrey for some sort of life coach. If only the world could understand that she is an immense talent, and if only she could finish writing her acceptance speech for her future Academy Award. (Chemically Imbalanced Theater, 1422 W. Irving Park Rd., $10, 8 p.m. Thursdays through June 30 except for June 9. Call 1-800-838-3006 for tickets)
