We're sorely tempted to play hooky today, that's how nice it is outside right now. If you're along the lakefront right now, what there is around is lifting and the day will be mostly clear with a high near 75 degrees. Last year on this date Chicago policeman Thomas Wortham IV was shot and killed. The R. Kelly child pornography trial got underway on this date three years ago. And Chicago Camerooinans celebrate that nation's Independence Day. Nice day to do that.
