Rock N' Roll Dreamers Mickey Only Have Eyes "For You"

Excitable, manic local rockers Mickey are set to release Hozac records full-length debut at the label's upcoming Blackout Fest , set to take place May 27 and 28. The release of Rock N' Roll Dreamer will no doubt be a highlight for garage-glam fans attending the two-day music festival.

Over the weekend, Hozac released an advance MP3 of Dreamer track "For You," which you can download below. Like the material from last year's self-released, self-titled cassette, "For You" is hook-filled, versed in rock tradition (are those strings we're hearing?) without being derivative, and filled with passion bordering on psychosis.

In layman's terms, it rocks, sounding a cross between Mott The Hoople and The Shangri-Las, with a fistful of distortion for good measure. "For You" is what rock n' roll dreams are made of.
