The Bulls weren't the only local athletes to have a rough outing in Miami. Bears running back Garrett Wolfe was arrested yesterday on charges of retail theft, disorderly conduct, assault of a police officer and resisting arrest. Miami Beach Police detective Juan Sanchez said that former NIU star "became aggressive while being ejected by bouncers, and two off-duty officers were summoned,’’ Sanchez said. ‘‘They gave him the opportunity to settle his bill" at a nightclub, which he refused. Wolfe then allegedly attacked one of the officers. Both officers suffered minor injuries.

Wolfe's free agent status is in limbo, depending on whenever NFL owners and players can agree to terms to life the current lockout. "If we get a CBA figured out, I’ll be a free agent; but if we don’t, I’m not a free agent. I’m just stuck in between," he told the Sun-Times last week. We're guessing Wolfe's $11,500 bond wasn't budgeted into his monthly savings. We're also hoping this isn't the start of the rise in crime that Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis predicted would happen if the lockout is prolonged.
