Luxury Ice Cream Festival Expands for Third Go-Round

2011_5_23_ice_cream.jpg The Chicago Luxury Ice Cream Festival keeps growing. For the third annual installment scheduled for July 9 and 10 at Little Italy's Grand Piazza (1431 W. Taylor St.) they're bringing in some heavy hitters and expanding the number of pastry chef options this year.

Among the new featured micro-creameries this year are Paciugo Gelato, al Gelato Bornay,
Zingerman’s Creamery of Michigan, Jeni Bauer of Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream and Graeter’s of Ohio. Pastry chefs announced for the fest include Tru's Meg galus, moto's Ben Roche, Toni Roberts of the WIT hotel, former Blackbird pastry chef Tim Dahl, Malika Ameen and Bryce Caron of Custom House Tavern.
