Win Tickets to the Peterson Garden Gala on Thursday!
By Anthony Todd in Food on May 24, 2011 6:20PM
The Peterson Garden Project (which is hosting the Chicagoist garden plot for the second year in a row) is having a gala fundraiser on Thursday, May 26th at Architectural Artifacts. Things kick off at 7 PM, and the event will have food provided by City Provisions, drinks poured by vinejoy and Koval Distillery, live music, a silent auction for restaurant gift certificates, and more. Best of all, we're giving away two tickets - a $150 value!
Even if you don't happen to win, you should go anyway. Tickets come at two levels - a $35 ticket which gets you in with a cash bar and a $75 ticket with an open bar. The food promises to be amazing, and the cause is good - community gardening, education, and local food. Plus, the event isn't going to be jam-packed, which means you have a great chance of winning some auctions. The Peterson Garden Project hosts plots for food pantries, charitable organizations and schools throughout the city, as well as plots for over 100 individual gardeners. It takes a bit of money! So if you're committed to great, local, sustainable food, please consider stopping by the event. Better yet, if you stop in and mention Chicagoist at the door, tickets will be $5 off. Even if you don't win, there's something for everyone!
Check out the full event page for more details. The contest will be open until noon tomorrow, at which point we will pick a winner and contact them by email. If you can't see the buttons, just click the words "submit entry" to send in your information.
