Artist Neiman, Wife Give Art Institute $5 Million

Artist LeRoy Neiman, best known for his colorful paintings of leisure activities, sporting events and athletes, and his wife will donate $5 million to the Art Institute to help build a new student center.

The donation is enough for the Art Institute to name the student center after Neiman. the Neimans are also donating a 56-foot-by-8-foot mural for the center titled "Summertime at the Indiana Dunes."
