He took the mound 5-2 with a 1.78 ERA in his previous eight starts vs. the Toronto Blue Jays but Mark Buehrle caught himself in a jam as the Jays beat the White Sox 4-2 Friday night.
The Sox left 10 on base and finished 1 for 8 with runners in scoring position. Toronto stranded 9 but still managed to out due Chicago. Buehrle allowed 3 runs and 9 hits in seven innings in just his second loss since April 27 in New York.
Juan Pierre extended his hitting streak to 12 games with a triple and scoring on a sacrifice fly from Alexei Ramirez. Adam Dunn walked in all four appearances at the plate.
