American Idol Winner Lee DeWyze "Snubbed" In Finale, Feuds With Nigel

There's trouble in 'American Idol' town - last season's winner and Mount Prospect native, Lee DeWyze, was not asked to perform with past winners in this season's final episode last week. Considering DeWyze was last season's "Idol," wouldn't it have made sense to include him in the finale as a performer?

Although DeWyze wasn't asked to perform on the show, American Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe asked DeWyze to present the MegaFabulousAmericanIdolWinnerTrophy to this season's winner, Scott McCreery. DeWyze refused to present this trophy, and sat in the audience instead of being up on stage. What's DeWyze's response to the whole ordeal? Well, let's just say he's not exactly the happiest camper:

"I think that once they realized that people were talking about the fact that I wasn't performing, I was asked if I wanted to partake in some trophy situation," DeWyze explained, finally opening up about the feud. "I didn't know the details of it, but I know I didn't need a consolation. I didn't want them to throw me a bone because I didn't perform, but besides that, in my mind, there was no reason for a past contestant to be onstage as the new Idol is crowned. It's not the passing of the torch."

Why can't we all just get along?
