Your Memorial Day Shooting Roundup

Warm weather and shootings in Chicago seem to go hand-in hand, like chocolate and peanut butter. And so it goes that a rash of gun violence broke out yesterday with temperatures in the high 80s. Five were killed and at 14 were wounded in shootings from the west side all the way to East Chicago, IN.

The shootings began yesterday afternoon with the reported murder of a 26-year-old in the Chatham neighborhood. Later, a 22-year-old woman was shot in the head and died during a fight in Jackson Park.
