'Round Labor Day last year, Hollywood Holt dropped a mixtape that contained several tracks which, had they been released earlier that summer, would've dominated Chicago speakers for the season.

This Memorial Day, Holt learned his lesson about the early bird getting the worm and released new single "The Show," a jam that will surely be the track to beat for the best local summer song.

Combining an upbeat flow that's both LL Cool J and Nelly with samples from The Revels' "Comanche" (memorably used in Pulp Fiction, whose dialogue is also sampled) and Atlanta-style bravado, "The Show" is 3 minutes of pure boombox scorched earth. Sure, that last sentence was barely English, but holy balls does "The Show" move. Prepare to get amped. Download the dirty version of "The Show," produced by Million $ Mano, below, and watch the video as well.
