Meet the Market, the series pairing a local restaurant with one of the vendors at the popular farmers market, heads out south to Nana Organic in the wunnerful Bridgeport area this evening. Not only is Chuck stoked about being able to walk to one of these events, but chef Guy Meikle will be preparing dishes using produce from Nichols' Farm. Cocktails will feature spirits from Death's Door. (3267 S. Halsted, 6-8 p.m.)

Food/Charity

Dine with Make a Wish Foundation at Rhapsody! On June 12, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Chef Dean Zanella is putting together a heck of a buffet at a very reasonable price, and the proceeds all go to the Make a Wish Foundation. The list of items on the buffet is way to long to put here, but it includes things like bombolini (italian doughnuts), Momma Zanella’s rhubarb coffee cake, marinated shrimp, octopus, calamari and olives, smoked trout salad and a local ramp, spinach, ricotta cheese tart. The suggested donation is $25. (65 E. Adams Street)

The Chicago Public Library partners with the Federal Reserve for a series of "smart money" programs held at branches across the city. tonight's program at the Logan Square branch, Roll It, Take It, Leave It, Move It: Know Your Retirement Plan Options, is geared toward people who recently switched jobs, retired or are facing unemployment due to a layoff or downsizing, determine what to do with their employer retirement savings plan. (3030 W. Fullerton, 6 p.m.)
