The 18th Annual Chicago Underground Film Festival kicks off at the Siskel Film Center tonight with the word premiere of Jerzy Rose's full-length debut, Some Girls Never Learn. This film is a surreal tale of forbidden love, paranormal gender relations, and lots of pink smoke kicks off with the discovery of Amelia Earhart's leg bone at the bottom of the sea. Rose will be in attendance for the 8 p.m. screening.

Interviews

Mark Bazer's new installment of The Interview Show 6:30 p.m. at Hideout (1354 W. Wabansia) features guests Alex Kotlowitz and Steve James talking about their new film The Interrupters, hip-hop artist Psalm One, crime novelist Marcus Sakey and singer/songwriter Krista Detor. Admission is $8.
