The Paper Machete, Christopher Piatt's popular and long-running literary salon that has featured numerous Chicagoist staffers as participants over the years, is changing its home venue after Saturday's show. The AV Club Chicago reports that Horseshoe (4115 N. Lincoln Ave.) will be the host venue starting June 18.
Piatt explained the switch to someone whose name may be familiar.
“Basically, we need a room with more audience and staging capacity. We’re keeping an open relationship with Ricochet’s, and will be having the occasional one-off weeknight shows there in the future. Those will be when we have special out-of-town guests who are only available during the week.”
