Well, we survived that nice run of hot, humid weather. Today is a completely new story as the sun is nowhere to be found and the clouds are so thick some streetlights are still on. the projected high of 65 from Skilling Central is 40 degrees less than what we saw yesterday. We also have rain in the forecast on this, the 71st anniversary of the murder of Chicago Tribune crime reporter Alfred "Jake" Lingle. Lingle was murdered in a mob in front of the former Central Library. After Lingle's death, it was discovered that he had mob ties and lived an extravagant lifestyle.
