Morning Box Score: Danks Breathes Easy, Cubs Give Garza No Help

John Danks, suspect to some bad breaks during an 0-8 start, had a few fall his way in earning his second victory of the season. none were more important than Brent Lillibridge's highlight reel robbery of what was a surefire two-run home run by Oakland's Coco Crisp. Hawk Harrelson's probably still yelling, "Mercy!!!" or comparing the play to a similar effort by Carl Yastrzemski. Lillibridge also scored the game winning run in the sixth, thanks to some sloppy play in the field by the Athletics.

Phillies 7, Cubs 1

Talk about snakebitten: Matt Garza gave up two runs (one earned) in six innings of work, but the Cubs hitters did him no favors. Neither did the bullpen, which gave up five runs between Sean Marshall and Casey Coleman in relief. Phillies second baseman Chase Utley hit a two-run shot off Coleman and had four RBI on the night
