- The Black Sheep, a new restaurant from Chef James Toland, opens for business on Tuesday. The restaurant, in West Town, includes on its menu black cod with pork rillette and chicken thigh with bacon puree, and the pictures of the interior make us very happy. According to the restaurant, "The Black Sheep brings to you the uncensored raw power that is Progressive American Cuisine, albeit twisted and distorted for your entertainment." Heck yes.

- GT Fish & Oyster, the winner of the Chicagoist Oyster Throwdown (round 1) just announced that they will begin serving lunch. The first day was today, and starting at 11:30 you can get your GT favs every day for lunch until 2:30. Eater Chicago reports that they will be serving a tuna BLT and 4 kinds of oysters - just the right way to perk yourself up in the middle of the day.

- The Feast reports that the dear, departed Pasticceria Natalina has re-opened... sorta. The owner, Natalie Zarzour, has decided to stay out her lease and open a gelato shop. The spot is only guaranteed to be around until September, after which time the future is uncertain. She's still baking for an "underground" clientele - maybe if you buy enough gelato, you can pry some recipes out of her.
