A former Bartlett resident who prosecutors said was a part of "most significant international child exploitation investigations ever" was sentenced to 40 years in prison today for posting video online of himself molesting an infant.
35 year-old Brian Annoreno was arrested in 2006 as part of an online child pornography sting that led to 27 arrests in the U.S., Canada and England. Annoreno moderated a chat room called "Kiddypics & Kiddyvids" under the screen name "Acidburn." The chat room could be accessed via peer-to-peer software set up to transmit and share thousands of illegal images.
Annoreno pleaded guilty last December of one count each of conspiracy to receive, transmit and advertise child pornography; receiving child pornography, and possessing child pornography. He was sentenced by Judge James Zagel, who is also presiding over the Rod Blagojevich retrial.
