The Cubs returned to Wrigley Field after a road trip they'd rather forget and promptly benefited from some home cooking. Darwin Barney made a nice slide to elude the tag on Aramis Ramirez's fielders choice to score the winning with one out in the eighth inning to make a winner of Jeff Samardzija. Ryan Dempster pitched seven innings of scoreless ball in a no decision, while Carlos Marmol locked down the ninth for his 13th save of the season
