2011_6_15_manu.jpg Few singers are able to wrap socially conscious lyrics, infectious grooves and irresistable energy like the force of nature that is Manu Chao. The Spanish-born, Parisian-based Latin folk singer cum punk rocker is kicking off a summer tour that rolls through Chicago for an all-ages stop at the Congress Theater Sept. 13.

The past couple of times Chao passed through Chicago where whirlwind affairs, we aren't sure Kevin fully recovered from seeing Chao at the Aragon Ballroom four years ago.

Manu Chao's "La Ventura" tour comes to the Congress Theater September 13. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets to the all ages show go on sale 10 a.m. Friday at Ticketfly.com and will cost $32.
