Warner Bros. to Hold Superman Casting Calls in Area

Want to get some uncredited screen time in a blockbuster movie? Warner Brothers Pictures is holding casting calls Saturday and next week for the upcoming Superman reboot that will be filming in the area.
Background casting assistant James McKay told Crain's the studio is looking for "all ages, all types," men, women and children, particularly infant twins, and “military/athletic types” for the $175 million blockbuster set to film in Chicago, Metropolis and Plano. Some of the extra roles will be paid.
The casting calls start Saturday at DePaul's Naperville campus from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m., followed by another casting call at Plano High School from 6-8 p.m. June 22 and a final casting call at Chicago Academy for the Arts June 25 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Applications for the casting call can be downloaded at www.afbackground.com (the code name for the film is currently "Autumn Frost).
The Superman reboot is set to be directed by Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen, Sucker Punch), with Henry Cavill donning the cape, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Kevin Costner and Diane Lane as Jonathan and Martha Kent. Russell Crowe is also joining the cast as Jor-El. They had us at Diane Lane. A MILF-y Martha Kent? Score!
