Small Bar Fullerton (1415 W. Fullerton) is the site for the official U.S. release party for Krombacher Pils and Krombacher Weiss. Dagmar Broska will be in Chicago from Germany to help celebrate the breweries' first stop in the United States after nearly 200 years of brewing history. Other Krombacher brewery reps will also be on hand to answer questions and talk about the product. Small Bar has also prepared specific food menu items for each beer. The festivities kick off at 7 p.m.

Music

If you missed bluesman Jake La Botz at Elbo Room last month, tomorrow is another chance to check out his music as La Botz hits Lucky Number Grill (1931 N. Milwaukee). La Botz has been recording a new album in town for release later this year, so this could be an opportunity to catch some of the new songs before they're released.

Variety

The Mazel Tov Kocktail Hour brings together good tunes and great musicians to spread the eastern European music of displaced people and rootless cosmopolitans. The Austin based ensemble has traveled the world to learn from Romani and Jewish musicians. Along the way, the search for the music of their ancestors has morphed into a mission to create the music of their great-grandchildren!

Appearing with THAT Damned Band, a visceral entry into the steampunk world of Goblins, Freaks, Pirates, and the Others from all possible worlds, all swimming in punch, all breaking open the head, all dancing through as many possible realms of existence as are possible, ad infimnitum.

THAT Damned Band pays tribute to eastern European, yiddish, and old-tyme vaudevillian era music and styles with a unique arrangement that includes Accordion, Clarinet, Jug, flute, saw, Resonator Guitar, Washtub bass, Tuba, Drums, and washboard. (Mayne Stage, 1328 W. Morse, 8 p.m. Wednesday. Tickets available here.)
