By Samantha Abernethy in News on Jul 3, 2011 3:30PM

White Sox 1, Cubs 0
Cubs pitcher Matt Garza was heading for a no-hitter, but the White Sox prevailed and reached .500 for the first time since April 16. This is the third straight season series the Cubs have lost to the Sox. Juan Pierre put in another solid performance, breaking Garza's streak by batting in the lone score with a single in the sixth inning.
