Columbian hip-hoppers ChocQuibTown play the Shrine tonight.

Music

The Chicago Colombian Music Festival is into its final weeks. One of the highlights of the festival's second half is an appearance from Quibdo-based hip hop trio ChocQuibTown. they'll be playing at the Shrine at 9 p.m. (2109 S. Wabash)

Food

Today is National Macaroni Day and Chicago Q BBQ (1160 N. Dearborn St.) is offering its bruléed mac & cheese, featuring three kinds of cheese and a secret blend of herbs and spices all baked in individual skillets, topped with breadcrumbs and bruléed for crunch on top, for 43 during lunch and dinner.

Improvised Music

Jordan Martins, who books the Relax Attack Jazz Series at the Whistler, and local musician Dan Mohr, producer of Links Hall's collision_theory dance series, also curate the Comfort Station Music series at Logan Square's Comfort Station (2579 N. Milwaukee Ave.). Tonight's free concert features Straw Elegies (Gillian Lisee, Sam Wagster), Fred Longberg-Holm and
Angela James. The performance begins at 7 p.m.
