Morning Box Score: Cubs Win (But Dempster Isn't Happy), Sox Finally Beat Twins

Hell froze over at U.S. Cellular Field yesterday, thanks to Alexei Ramirez. Ramirez hit a solo home run in the first inning and drove in AJ Pierzynski with the winning run with two outs in the ninth inning to give the White Sox their first win over Minnesota this season. Mark Buehrle pitched eight innings and struck out a season high eight, but Jesse Crain picked up the win with one inning of relief. Catcher Ramon Castro broke his hand on a passed ball in the eighth inning.
Ryan Dempster gave manager Mike Quade an earful after being pulled in the fifth inning, although he did pick up the win. Dempster and Quade's dugout tiff overshadowed a strong performance by Cubs hitters. Marlon Byrd, Kosuke Fukudome, Alfonso Soriano, Carlos Pena and Starlin Castro each drove in runs for the Cubs.
