2011_07_10_millennium_park.jpg A bundle of bricks, duct tape and wires caused a bit of a panic Saturday evening and a shut down of Michigan Avenue. Police have charged one 18-year-old man with misdemeanor disorderly conduct as a result. Tribune reports that police were seen interviewing teens, too, making it seem like this maybe was all caused by a prank. Tribune writes:

About 5:36 p.m. Saturday police responded to a call of a suspicious package, and police Bomb and Arson personnel determined it was comprised of two bricks apparently left behind by "subjects participating in a role-playing event," according to a police statement.

At least five young juveniles, apparently four boys and a girl, were seen being questioned during the investigation.

The area around The Bean and the Park Grill Plaza restaurant was evacuated and the area was on high alert until 9:30 p.m., after the device had been detonated.
