We've been fans of Azita Youssefi going back to her days in Scissors Girls and have enjoyed her shift over the years from the in-your-face noise rock and theatrics of Scissors Girls, Bride of No-No and her collaborations with Weasel Walter to her more personal piano-focused solo compositions.

It's been a couple of years since Azita has released any new music, but she's ready to share songs from her new album, Disturbing the Air, starting with a free gig 8:30 p.m. tonight at Rainbo. It's been a while since we've been to Rainbo and the crowd that shows up could turn back the Wicker Park clocks to 1996. Having seen a handful of shows on the small stage behind the bar there that it makes for an intimate venue in the right hands. This could be a show people will talk about for a while.
