Stabbing in Lakeview Is Third in a Month

A man was injured last night after a stabbing in Lakeview near the CTA Belmont Red Line stop. The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. near the entrance of the station. There was a fight that broke out near the entrance at 900 W. Belmont, which resulted in one man being stabbed in the back during the fight.

It is reported that two men approached the victim from behind at the station, which started the brawl. One of the two suspects stabbed the victim before fleeing. As ABC News pointed out, this is the third stabbing in the Lakeview area within the past month. The reason behind the attack isn't clear at this point, and police are currently investigating the incident from last night.
