Morning Box Score: White Sox Start Post All-Star Break Hot

Whether last night's offensive explosion by the White Sox is a sign of things to come or just Tigers ace Justin Verlander having an off night is yet to be determined. Either way, the White Sox beat up on Verlander at Comerica Park last night to start the post All-Star break on a good note and end a seven-game losing streak against Verlander. The White Sox hitters got on base early and often and, in something they haven't done with consistency all season, drove in runners in scoring position. Carlos Quentin had three RBI and Adam Dunn plated two with a single. It was enough for Gavin Floyd, who pitched 7-2/3 innings with his only mistake a two-run homer to Detroit slugger Miguel Cabrera.
