Groupon, CPS Join Up to Buy School Supplies

2009_12_4_groupon.jpg It's time for parents to start getting their kids school supplies and new clothes for the school year in order. With 85 percent of Chicago Public Schools students coming from low-income homes and more than 15,000 of them homeless, Groupon has partnered with CPS to purchase school supplies for their students.

Starting tomorrow and running through Thursday, Groupon's "Kits for Kidz" pledge drive will offer a $12 deal for a kit that includes folders, pencils, glue sticks and notebooks.
