With Sunday's trade deadline fast approaching, the White Sox are in that purgatory between being buyers and sellers for the season's stretch run, performance like last night's opener against the Tigers could go a long way toward GM Kenny Williams eyeing reinforcements to overtake Detroit in the AL Central Race. Mark Buehrle, who could be trade bait if the Sox slip up, continued his recent strong run on the mound with a game typical of the popular White Sox southpaw. Buehrle scattered 10 hits over six innings. AJ Pierzynski homered, Paul Konerko and Carlos Quentin each drove in two runs and Sergio Santos closed out the ninth in a non-save situation to bring the White Sox once more to one game under the .500 mark, 3-1/2 games behind the Tigers in the AL Central
