Pop-Up Restaurant

Gypsy, the pop-up restaurant from Oliver Poilevey and Scott Jambrosek of La Sardine and Le Bouchon, fills Logan Square Kitchen this weekend in conjunction with Milwaukee Avenue Arts Festival. the cash only menu includes fried risotto balls with romesco sauce; duck tacos with pickled onion, cilantro and citrus; and vegetarian crepes. For dessert, choose between peanut butter and jelly ice cream or mojito sorbet. Beer is also available. (2333 N. MIlwaukee Ave., 4-11 p.m. tonight, noon-11 p.m. tomorrow and Sunday.)

Music

Local acoustic string band Tangleweed newest cd Please Punch Richard for Me, a collection of originals and covers, is the group's strongest release to date. They'll be celebrating the release of the new cd with a show tonight at the Old Town School of Folk Music, with Texas band Shotgun Party opening. (8 p.m., $15, $13 Old Town School Members, $11 seniors and children.)

Film

The 1920 silent screen comedy Why Change Your Wife? by director Cecile B. DeMille is a progressive comedy of errors about sexual politics and sexuality rare for the time. Gloria Swanson stars as a frumpy housewife who leaves her husband after a misunderstanding, only to discover that she may also have to bear some of the responsibility for the demise of her marriage. Tonight's screening is part of the Silent Film Society of Chicago's "Silent Summer" film festival, with photoplay organ accompaniment by Tim Baker on the Portage Theater's organ. (4050 N. Milwaukee Ave., 8 p.m., $12)
