Morning Box Score: Sox Snap Skid in Minnesota

By Chuck Sudo in News on Aug 6, 2011 1:30PM

White Sox 5, Twins 3

The White Sox did their best to put their recent horrible homestand behind them with and beat Minnesota at the same time. An Adam Dunn error put them in an early 3-1 hole, but that was the only hiccup as Mark Buehrle settled in for a dominant eight inning performance to end a six-game losing streak. Carlos Quentin contributed two home runs and four RBI to the effort, while Chris Sale gave Sergio Santos a break and earned his third save of the season. The two teams play again at Target Field at 6:10 p.m.
