- A sleeping six-year-old girl was shot and killed when someone fired shots into the living room of an Englewood home around 6 a.m. Sunday morning. Two teens were also seriously injured.
- Four people were injured when someone opened fired at an outdoor block party in Garfield Park.
- Eleven people were injured in a two-vehicle collision at 55th and Richmond in the Gage Park neighborhood.
- Prosecutors say a dispute over a hat led to the July 16 shooting of a 17-year-old at a party, who later died.
- A 15-year-old boy has been charged with felony mob action, after a cop witnessed he and others beating a man near Water Tower Place. The others fled the scene.
