- The drama at the Black Sheep might be at an end, but we're not placing bets. First, Chef James Toland (or someone claiming to be him) bitchslaps Julia Kramer over a bad review, then attempts to get some fake endorsements from Chicago food personalities (including yours truly). Last week, the whole kitchen staff walked out over a dispute. But, we've gotta give him credit - he's not quitting! Eater reports that The Black Sheep is back open with a new staff. Anyone want to take bets on how things are gonna go? On the one hand, publicity and notoriety - on the other hand, fear and reputation. Only time will tell.

- Butcher & the Burger, which wins the prize for name-poaching both in form and in content (Butcher & Larder? Girl & the Goat?) announced last week that it was coming to Lincoln Park. A "modern spin" on the butcher shop, B&tB will be a combination burger counter and artisan butcher shop. It will also host hands-on butchering classes. The shop will stock organic turkeys for Thanksgiving, but no other word on sustainability - they seem to be focusing more on luxury and exotic products, including Wagyu beef. We'll see next month, when it opens. 1021 W. Armitage Avenue.

- Prasino, an organic, sustainable restaurant with outposts in La Grange and St. Charles, opens tomorrow in Wicker Park. We're most excited for their breakfast (not just brunch) menu, including carrot cake pancakes with fresh grated carrot, cinnamon, nutmeg, golden raisins, whipped sweet cream cheese and candied pecans. We'll be back with more details after the opening. 1846 West Division
