Bond has been set at $2 million and a psychological evaluation ordered for Yashesh Desai, a 21-year-old Woodridge man who is accused of beating his father to death with a weed trimmer.

Desai has a history of psychiatric problems, had been seeing a psychiatrist and was prescribed medications for seizures and depression. He was expelled from the University of Illinois last year after threatening a student with a knife.

He's accused of attacking his father Sanjiv in his sleep. Sanjiv Desai died from severe head trauma sustained in the attack. Yashesh Desai's younger brother reportedly told a 911 dispatcher "my brother just killed my father." When police arrived at the scene, they found Desai mumbling about Godzilla, X and Y chromosomes, the Turks and cursing his father.

DuPage County Judge John Demling ordered the psych evaluation after Desai answered his question regarding where he last worked with, "The beginning of time, maybe."
